About Us

In 1996, MercAid Limited was born, as a joint venture between two close colleagues.

Both came from a Mercedes-Benz commercial main dealer background. Through many years they built up a wealth of knowledge and experience.

They started with a small mobile operation. This specialised in just commercial vehicle servicing and repairs. The business grew from strength to strength. In 1999 a specialist workshop was built and the employment team grew.

In 2004 the new concept of MercAid Cars Limited was established. An independent specialist in the servicing and maintenance of Mercedes-Benz cars.

Within a short space of time MercAid Cars Limited had developed a growing reputation and the customer base required us to open up a premises in Hainault, Essex.

fter a name change in 2008 to MotorAid Ltd this enabled us to offer our customers servicing and repairs to all German brands and not just a one marque specialist. MotorAid now have two dedicated car sites specialising in Mercedes-Benz / SMART, BMW / Mini, Audi/VW (Skoda/Seat), Porsche

The Basildon site encompasses a two acre commercial vehicle repair operation specialising in all makes of LCV & HGV vehicles. There is a stand-alone 4×4 garage and an MOT centre. The main area of coverage is the South / Mid Essex and East London areas.

The body repair centre opened in January 2015 for both car and light commercial vehicles.

Our lease car business commenced in January 2020 after it become apparently clear there was a demand from our customers for the same high level of customer service and value for money whilst keeping their vehicles under one roof. We lease car, van & commercial vehicles on short or long term.

We have a loyal customer base which is growing daily. This is down to the continuing focus to deliver a friendly, reliable service with value for money and peace of mind. This has resulted in winning an award for “Best in Customer Services” at the Essex Business Awards.

Please note that MotorAid LTD is authorised by the FCA as a broker and not a lender. Motoraid LTD will endeavour to search the market with all sources at our disposal to get the consumer the best available deal, regardless of MotorAid’s pre-existing relationship with that lender. Also, any deal with a mileage limit will incur a charge of pence per mile in excess of the agreed limit. This will differ from lender-to-lender and will be fully disclosed at the point of quoting. MotorAid will gain a commission payment from the lender on commencement of the deal.
